In looking over some of Fred's watch repair books for a mans' watch record, I found in his watch sales book,

$35.00.
I think the folks got that for George.
We watched the ball game between Yankees and Tigers at 4pm when they went off the air they were half way in the 11th inning 7-7. They played on into the 22nd inning when Yankees hit a home run with one man on making it 9-7 yanks.

Note:
In looking through a 45 year old sales book of her late husband, she found the watch sale for George her brother.
In May 1917, George would have been 46.
The watch was probably a birthday present and Ella remembers her parents purchased the watch for her brother... from Ella's later to be husband Fred. Fred Kessler sold and repaired watches.
Elle married Fred in 1931.
